Synod Foundation Eng. Medium School

Synod Foundation English Medium School began in 2001 with a handful of students in a thatched-roof, bamboo-wall room at Zamirghat village, and its motto, “Truth Conquers,” has stayed through every move since. The school shifted to Rajghat in 2002 and to Lefunga in 2004, where it grew into a co-educational and residential school. It is the educational branch of the Evangelical Synod Church, managed by the Evangelical Synod Society, a non-profit registered in 2003 with its head office at Rajghat, Kamalghat, West Tripura.

State recognition came in steps: primary level in 2005, elementary in 2008, secondary in 2011 and senior secondary in 2021. The school is now affiliated to CBSE up to Senior Secondary level under Affiliation No. 2030024 and School No. 35397, valid from April 2022 to March 2027. As a CBSE school in Lefunga, it publishes its mandatory disclosure, curriculum, staff list, fee structure and a 2026-27 prospectus online, and it announced its CBSE Class 12 result for 2026 on the home page.

A large part of the school’s story is its boarding house. Students come from many places in Tripura, including border villages near Bangladesh, so separate boarding homes for boys and girls are supervised by teachers. The Government of Tripura’s Tribal Welfare Department has recognised the ST boarding house for 100 students and granted stipends for them. The school also lists pre-matric scholarships for Classes VI to VIII, merit awards for Class VI to X students scoring above 60 percent, and book grants.

A Peace Club, set up with the NGO JUST, trains student leaders through seminars, workshops and competitions. Teachers attend regular trainings and workshops, and the school has an app for results and notices. Parents can call +91 8837084258 or use the contact page on sfems.co.in. The school is at P.O. Lefunga, West Tripura, PIN 799210. Admission notices, the prospectus and an online fee payment link are on the website, so please confirm current dates and fees with the school.
