Kshudiram Basu English Medium School

Kshudiram Basu English Medium School sits on Old Jail Road in Dhaleswar, Agartala, and is a government school in Tripura’s Mission 100 Vidyajyoti group. The school teaches in the English medium, which is its main draw in a state where most government schools teach in Bengali. Principal Samir Ranjan Das heads the school. The school’s mission is to support learning inside and outside the classroom, to help teachers guide children as they build their own understanding, and to bring joy back into the school surroundings.

One sign of growing demand is on the home page: a state approval memo, dated August 2026, to increase the number of sections in different classes from the 2026-27 academic year. More sections should mean more seats and smaller group sizes. Parents can also find the last three years of board results, the mandatory disclosure under SARAS 7.0, the water, health and sanitation certificate, and the lists of the Parents Teachers Association and School Management Committee for 2026.

The contact page lists 37 people. There are around 34 teachers, mostly graduate teachers with a number of undergraduate-level teachers, and an ICT instructor for computer classes. Support staff and a night guard complete the list. The page also gives teachers’ phone numbers, which is rare for a school website and makes it easy to ask questions.

Families can call the school on +91 9402331560. The campus is at Old Jail Road, Dhaleswar, Agartala, West Tripura, PIN 799001. As a government school, admission and fee rules follow state norms, so please confirm entry classes and dates with the school before applying.
