Swami Dhananjoy Das Kathia Baba Mission School

Patunagar, in the Durjoynagar area of Agartala, is home to Swami Dhananjoy Das Kathia Baba Mission School, a co-educational English-medium school that describes itself as CBSE affiliated. The school’s banner lines give a feel for its approach, with phrases such as “Learning Through Performance” and “Education For Life,” and a line saying the great aim of education is action rather than knowledge alone. A Founder’s Message page and a Mission and Vision page are on the website for parents who want to read the thinking behind the school.

On the facilities page, the school says its classrooms meet CBSE space norms and are spacious, with fans, proper lights and blackboards. The library holds more than 10,000 books, and the computer lab has PCs with 24-hour internet connectivity. Separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories are available, which matters for older students who need practical work.

Daily life includes a regular sports period in the timetable and yoga practised every day. The school has an infirmary with a bed, first aid articles and medicines, RO drinking water and separate washrooms for girls and boys. The website also lists an achievements page, an activity calendar, and events such as the Annual Function, Annual Sports Day and Independence Day celebration.
