Prarthana Central School

Prarthana Central School stands at BSK II Stage in Padmanabhanagar, Bangalore, near Kadirenahalli Petrol Bunk, and was founded in 2002 with a simple idea: every child should be welcome. The school teaches both the CBSE and Karnataka State Board curricula, and it says its learning priorities are built around what students should be able to do with what they have learned. It is an inclusive school that welcomes children of every religion, caste, creed, community and income, and it holds that education should be neither exclusive nor expensive. The school also has a sister campus, Prarthana World School.

The school calls its community the Prarthana Kutumba, one big family of children, teachers, support staff and parents. The website says it wants each child to enter, participate, perform and progress, and the line “Yes, they can!” runs through its pages. The admission process is described as a conversation, where the school and the family learn about each other and set expectations together, before the child is enrolled.

The campus has seven blocks, with well-ventilated, spacious classrooms fitted with CCTV and smart classes with DTS. The Facilities page lists a Science Lab, a Computer Lab, a library with books in different languages, a music space called Madhurya, sports and a school bus service. The school says it won multiple NCSC awards, the National Children’s Science Congress, from 2017 to 2022, and the 3rd Computer Literacy Award. For parents choosing a CBSE school in Padmanabhanagar, these are the facts the school itself puts forward.
