S.A. Jain Senior Model School, Ambala  holds a prominent position among esteemed institutions. It was established by the revered saint Punjab Kesri Acharya Shri Vijay Vallabh Surishwar Ji Maharaj in Gujranwala. The school came into existence on the auspicious day of Basant Panchami in 1926, initially known as Shri Atmanand Jain Gurukul. This institution was a tribute to the esteemed Jain Guru, the late Acharya Shri Vijayanand Surishware Ji Maharaj, who believed in eliminating illiteracy through the establishment of Vidya Mandir schools across the country. In 1954, Shri Atmanand Jain Gurukul was reestablished as S.A. Jain Sr. Model School and became affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi.
