Delhi Public School
About School
Tucked inside the IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery Township in Dhaligaon, Assam, Delhi Public School Dhaligaon was established on May 24, 1997 - making it one of the earliest DPS Society schools to take root in the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts of the state. What began as a school within a refinery township has, over 25 years of its silvery sojourn, steadily grown into one of the distinguished CBSE schools in Bongaigaon, functioning under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi. The school carries the motto "Service before Self" and is led by Principal Dr. Rakesh Kumar Mishra, whose message to the school community emphasizes life skills, self-discipline, and effective communication alongside regular academics.
Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE Affiliation No. 230024, School Code 35111), the school runs classes from Nursery through Class 12. The 2026 CBSE Class 12 results have been published on the school's official website, and the institution has a documented track record of students appearing in competitive examinations including JEE and NTSE. The school also hosted its first edition of DPSDH MUN (Model United Nations Conference) in 2026, reflecting a growing focus on debate, diplomacy, and critical thinking among senior students.
The campus is equipped with NCC and Scout & Guide units, a dedicated Sports programme, and a Yoga practice integrated into the school calendar. The Girls Volleyball team (Under-19) clinched a bronze medal at an inter-school meet, and school athletes created waves at the CBSE Far East Zone Athletic Meet 2025, hosted by Royal Global School, Guwahati. Beyond sports, students participate in science model competitions, costume shows, career counselling sessions, and the school's own e-newsletter "Vivian." A Bullying Prevention Committee and an Interact Club are also active on campus.
Admissions for the 2026-27 session are open, with the Prospectus and Admission Procedure document available for download at dpsdhaligaon.com. Fee details for both BGR and non-BGR students are published on the website separately. The school can be contacted at 03664-241078 or via email at dpsdhaligaon2012@gmail.com. The campus is located at IOCL BGR Township, Dhaligaon, District Chirang, Assam - PIN 783385.
