St. Josephs Convent School

St. Joseph’s Convent School stands on Khushrajpur Road at Piproli in Gwalior, and it belongs to a story that began in Kerala in 1887. That year Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima founded the Institute of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) in Ernakulam, at a time of deep poverty and caste divisions. Her first school took in children of every social and financial background, and the same idea of dignity for every child is the one the Gwalior school describes as its own.

The school is affiliated to CBSE under Affiliation No. 1031170 and School Code 51142, for the period April 2022 to March 2027. Registration for 2027-28 is open on the home page, and the notice board links online forms for Nursery to Class IX. As a CBSE school in Gwalior, it publishes its book list for 2026-27, fee details, school uniform rules, norms for promotion, calendar, holiday homework, mandatory disclosure and a transfer certificate verification page.

The school’s gallery shows an active calendar. Recent albums include a Class II skit and storytelling, a Class IV rhyme competition, a library day, an interhouse dance competition, a mini market activity for primary classes and Independence Day 2026. Winners are listed for a Hindi speech competition in Class IX, a debate competition and an interschool basketball tournament. A school mobile app and online fee payment keep parents connected.

Timings are published too. Classes 4 to 12 run from 7:30 AM to about 1:20 PM, and classes 1 to 3 from 7:50 AM to 12:50 PM, Monday to Friday, with the second Saturday a holiday. The office is open from 8 AM to 12:30 PM, and the principal can be met between 9 AM and 11:30 AM. Parents can call 0751-2444103 or 7247406493 (the KG section is 0751-2444104), or write to sjcgwl@gmail.com.
