Shamayita Convent School, Amarkanan

Founded on July 18, 1996, by the spiritual Mahayogi Sri Sri Prabhuji, Shamayita Convent School is a co-educational, English-medium Senior Secondary day-cum-boarding school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) (Careers360). Set across a lush 5-acre rural campus along the Sali River in Bankura district, the institution began with 20 girl students to bring world-class English education to underserved rural communities and expanded into a full co-educational school in 2010 with the addition of its boys' wing (Background). Guided by a philosophy that blends modern scientific pedagogy with traditional Indian cultural values and spiritual self-reliance (Mission and Vision), the campus features 48 spacious classrooms, dedicated science and mathematics laboratories, a 15,000+ volume library, an activity hall, sports grounds, transport services, and separate hostel facilities for boys and girls from Class II onwards.
