RNS Vidyaniketan Primary School

RNS Vidyaniketan in Murudeshwar, Karnataka, was set up by Dr. R. N. Shetty, the industrialist of Murudeshwar, to give quality education to local people and those from the surrounding area. It began with LKG and UKG in 2003-04, with only a small number of students, and by 2010-11 had grown into a full school from LKG to Class X. The school says it was felt that a CBSE school was needed so students could join mainstream higher education and compete in national entrance exams. Its Google Maps listing is titled “R.N.S. Vidyaniketan CBSE School.”

Classes are grouped into Play Group, Primary, Middle and High School. Registration for 2026-27 is open from Nursery to the 7th standard, with a separate admission procedure page and an enquiry form. The website publishes the documents a CBSE parent would want to check: the SARAS mandatory disclosure, affiliation grant letter, recognition certificate, fire and building safety certificates, fee structure for 2026, the Class X results, teacher list, school strength, audit report and the Parents Teachers’ Association members.

The facilities menu lists Science, Computer, Mathematics and Language labs, a library, sports, classroom facilities, other facilities and a bus route. The home page news strip shows yoga and meditation, karate classes, the mid-day meal and Scouts and Guides, which gives a picture of daily life. As a CBSE school in Murudeshwar, it also lists sports, academic and other achievements on separate pages, though those did not open for this listing.
