Document Scanner to PDF
Photograph a page, a notebook or the blackboard, drag the four corners to straighten it, and it comes out looking like a real scan. Add as many pages as you like and save them as one PDF.
Photograph a page from any angle, then drag the four corners onto the corners of the page. The tool straightens the trapezium back into a rectangle and evens out the lighting, so a phone photo comes out looking like a real scan. Add as many pages as you like and save them as one PDF.
Add a photo of the page
Drag photos here, paste them, or tap to browse. On a phone this opens the camera, so you can shoot the page directly. Add several at once for a multi-page PDF.

Each page keeps its own corners and scan mode.
A photo of a page is not a scan — until you straighten it
Hold a phone over a page and the page comes out as a lopsided trapezium with a shadow across it. Two steps fix that: pull the corners back into a rectangle, then even out the lighting.
Photograph the page
Any angle will do, as long as all four corners are in the shot. Daylight beats a tube light.
Drag the four corners
Put each handle on a corner of the page. The preview straightens as you drag.
Pick a scan mode
Magic colour for normal pages, black and white for handwriting and the blackboard.
Save the PDF
Add more pages first if you need them — they all go into one PDF, in the order you arrange.
What the corner dragging actually does
Photographing a page from an angle squashes one end — a rectangle becomes a trapezium. The tool works out the mapping that turns your four corners back into a true rectangle and redraws every pixel through it.
That is why you must put the handles on the corners of the page, not the corners of the photo. Get them right and the text lines come out straight and evenly spaced.
The scan modes
Magic colour divides out the uneven lighting, so the shadow of your own hand disappears and the paper goes properly white while photographs and coloured pens keep their colour.
Black and white judges every pixel against its own neighbourhood rather than one fixed threshold, so a page that is bright on one side and dim on the other still comes out evenly. It is the best choice for handwriting, printed notes and the blackboard.
Why one PDF matters
Schools ask for "one PDF" because fifteen loose photos in a chat are impossible to mark. Arrange the pages in order here and they arrive as a single document that opens the same way on every phone and computer.
Pick A4 if it will be printed, or Fit the page shape if it is only going to be read on a screen.
Getting a clean shot
Put the page on a dark surface so the edges stand out, keep the phone parallel to it, and stand so your own shadow falls away from the page. Tap the screen on the text to lock the focus before shooting.
For a blackboard, shoot from the side of the room where the light does not reflect off the board, then use black and white mode and raise the ink strength.
Document Scanner to PDF — your questions
How do I scan a document with my phone without an app?
Open this page on the phone, tap Add pages and take a photo of the document. Drag the four corner handles onto the corners of the page, pick a scan mode, and download the PDF. Nothing is installed and nothing is uploaded.
Why does dragging the corners matter?
Photographing a page from an angle squashes one end, so a rectangle becomes a trapezium. The tool works out the mapping that turns your four corners back into a true rectangle and redraws every pixel through it, which is why the text lines come out straight and evenly spaced.
What is the difference between the scan modes?
Magic colour divides out the uneven lighting so the shadow of your hand disappears and the paper goes properly white, while photographs and coloured pens keep their colour. Black and white judges each pixel against its own neighbourhood, which handles a page that is bright on one side and dim on the other.
Can I put several pages into one PDF?
Yes. Add as many photos as you like, arrange them in order with the arrows under each thumbnail, and download a single PDF. Schools ask for one PDF because loose photos in a chat are impossible to mark.
How do I get a clean photo of the blackboard?
Stand where the light does not reflect off the board, keep the phone parallel to it, and make sure all four corners of the written area are in the shot. Then use black and white mode and raise the ink strength until the chalk is clearly readable.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. Scanner apps usually send your pages to a server and bury the result in adverts. This runs entirely in your browser, so homework, answer sheets, certificates and school records stay on your own device.
Should I choose A4 or Fit the page shape?
Choose A4, or Letter, if the PDF will be printed, so every page comes out the same size with a neat margin. Choose Fit the page shape if it is only going to be read on a screen, since it avoids white bands around a page that is not exactly A4 shaped.
