20 layouts Names under each photo A4 print-ready PDF Nothing is uploaded

Drop in a handful of photos and this free collage maker arranges them in one of twenty layouts — grids, a big photo with smaller ones beside it, or a photo-booth strip. Add a title, put a name under each picture for a class board, and save it as an A4 PDF, a square post or a 16:9 slide.

Your photos stay on this device. No upload, no account, and nothing of ours is stamped on the result — which matters when the pictures are of children.

Add your photos

Drag them here, paste them, or tap to browse. Pick several at once — they drop into the layout in the order you choose them.

How it works

A finished board in about a minute

Pick the photos, pick the shape of the sheet, pick a layout. Everything else — the spacing, the names, the title, the print size — is one slider or one box away.

Add the photos

Choose several at once. They fill the layout in the order you picked them, and you can drag the thumbnails to reorder.

Choose a layout

Twenty shapes, from a simple 2×2 to a nine-photo board or a photo-booth strip.

Line each photo up

Click a photo in the collage and drag it to move, or zoom it so the faces sit where you want.

Save or print

JPG for sharing, PNG for the best quality, or an A4 PDF that prints at the exact size.

Names under every photo

Tick one box and a caption strip appears under each picture, filled with the file name and editable. That turns a collage into a class board, a prefect list, a house captains display or a yearbook page.

No other free collage tool does this, because they are all built for social media rather than for a school noticeboard.

Printing it properly

Choose A4 portrait or A4 landscape and the sheet is built at 300 dots per inch — the quality a printer actually needs. Download the PDF and print at Actual size or 100%, never "fit to page".

For a photo shop, pick 6 × 4 inch instead: that is the standard print size and it will come back with no white bands.

Sizes for sharing

Square suits a post, 9:16 suits a status or story, 4:5 gives a taller post that fills more of the screen, and 16:9 drops straight into a slide for assembly.

Set a maximum file size before you download and the tool finds the best quality that fits — handy when a school group or portal refuses anything over a megabyte.

Children's photographs

Nothing is uploaded here, so a class photo never leaves the staffroom computer. That is a real difference from the collage websites that process everything on their servers.

If some children in the pictures do not have photo permission, blur their faces first in the Photo Editor, then bring the results back here.

Questions & answers

Collage Maker — your questions

How do I make a photo collage for free?

Drop your photos onto this page, choose one of the twenty layouts, and the collage builds itself. Adjust the gap, the margin and the background colour with the sliders, then download it. There is no account, no watermark and no upload.

Can I put names under each photo?

Yes, and almost no other free collage tool can. Tick "Put a name under every photo" and a caption appears under each picture, filled with the file name and editable. That turns a collage into a class board, a prefect list or a yearbook page.

How do I print a collage on A4?

Choose A4 tall or A4 wide, which builds the sheet at 300 dots per inch, then download the PDF. In the print dialog pick Actual size or 100%, never Fit to page, or everything shrinks by a few percent.

What size should a collage be for Instagram or a status?

Square for a normal post, 4:5 for a taller post that fills more of the screen, and 9:16 for a story or status. All three are in the page shape list, so you do not have to work out the pixels yourself.

Does it put a watermark on my collage?

No. The tool is free and adds nothing to your picture. The only name on the collage is the title or school logo you choose to add yourself.

How many photos can I put in one collage?

Up to sixteen in a single layout. Add more photos than the layout holds and they wait in the thumbnail strip until you pick a bigger layout, so you can try a few arrangements without starting again.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The whole collage is built inside your browser on your own device. That matters in a school, where the pictures are usually of children and should not be sent to a website you know nothing about.

Can I change how a photo sits inside its box?

Yes. Click any photo in the collage to select it, then drag it to move it inside its box or scroll to zoom in. There are also buttons to rotate it, re-centre it, or shuffle the whole set into a different order.
